Conversationblog recently posted about Belgian MySpacers expressing their dissatisfaction with the separist movement within some of the political parties. A lot has been written already on the use of social media for and within Belgian politics. It's still not very impressing, especially when you compare it to the social media activity we can now witness running towards the US presidential elections. Yves Leterme even stopped updating his website, due to the negociations to for a new government. Personally I feel this is a missed opportunity for him. I can understand that the negociations process is very diplomatic and takes place behind closed doors, but at the same time Leterme is going down in popularity.
Anyway, while Belgian politicians seem to be quite absent on the web nowadays, the Belgian people are filling the gap. Not only did I find this blog of Yves Leterme's alter ego blogging, but today I came across this cool game called Leterminateur. Powered by Gazet van Antwerpen, it's based on Pacman, so good fun to spend a few minutes on ;-)
